December Book Haul

Hi everyone,

How are you?

Today I am doing my December book haul! I am so excited for this book haul because there are so many amazing books on here!🥳 I bought/received 16 books this month, some I have never heard of before but, they sound interesting and I’m so excited to get to them eventually!

So let’s start with the physical books I bought myself this month;

Assassins apprentice by Robin Hobb

I finally made the purchase of a Robin Hobb. I have already read this when this post is going up and I’m so glad that I bought this book! I really loved this book.

The girl in the tower by Katherine Arden

I loved the bear and the nightingale so I bought the second book straight away. I still haven’t picked this up yet but, I plan to. I think this is going to be a new favourite trilogy.

Everblaze by Shannon Messenger

This is the third book in the keeper of the lost cities series. I am really enjoying this series so far, it’s a really fun middle grade and I’m interested to see where it is going to go.

A deadly education by Naomi Novik

I have heard mixed things about this book but, I did like uprooted by this author so, I know that I like her writing style. It sounds like a book I will enjoy so I hope it is as good as the synopsis sounds.

A song of wraiths and ruin by Roseanne A. Brown

When I read the synopsis for this book, I was so excited for this books release. I’m hoping to read this one soon because the second one comes out soon! I have heard so many people say such great things about this one which, makes me even more excited.

Kingdom of the wicked by Kerri Maniscalco

I really loved the Stalking Jack the Ripper series by maniscalco so when I saw that she had a new series coming out I knew I had to buy it. I have heard mostly good things about this book and I’m intrigued to see whether it’s as good as I hope it will be.

Royal assassin by Robin Hobb

After I finished assassins apprentice, I bought the second book straight away. I’m excited and terrified to see where this story is going to go.

Now onto the books I was gifted this month;

The never tilting world by Rin Chupeco

This book was gifted to me by Ellie @ReadtoRamble for my birthday. She is amazing and I am so glad I get to call her my friend! I’m so excited for this book, it has been on my tbr for a while and I’m intrigued to see whether I like Rin Chupecos writing because I own another series by her also.

Best served cold by Joe Abercrombie

This was also gifted to me by Ellie for Christmas. This is the fourth book in the first law universe. I’m slowly collecting these books, I have book 1 and 2 so far, even though I haven’t even read the first one or know whether I like it or not🙈😂. I’m so excited to get to the first law books.

Winterhouse by Ben Guterson

This is a middle grade book and it was gifted to me by the amazing Noly @TheArtsyReader1. She is the kindest person I know and my best friend! I was so excited when I saw she got me this book🥳. I’ve been wanting to read winterhouse for a while now, it sound so fun and mysterious!

Ok, so now we go onto the books that my mum got me and I do love her when she gets me books (of course I love her always) as she always gets me books that I have NEVER heard of before😂. Let’s start with;

The historian by Elizabeth Kostova

So, I literally know nothing about these books😂 but, that tagline on the front is incredibly intriguing hehe. I think this is partly about Vlad the Impaler. I looked up this book on goodreads and it has mixed reviews so, I’m intrigued to see where I fall.

Brave new love edited by Paula Guran

I think this is a collection of short stories set in dystopian worlds. It features authors such as Kiera Cass and Maria V. Snyder. To be honest that’s all I need to know, I’m intrigued lol.

No such thing as immortality by Sarah Tranter

This book has vampires in it and possibly fae? I have no idea about the fae part lol. It sounds like a romance story which, I’m intrigued by.

Gideon the cutpurse by Linda Buckley Archer

This book looks so good! I know three things about this book one, that it is a sci-fi, two that it features time travel and three that they travel back to 1760s.

It’s a wonderful night by Jaimie Admans

I have already read this one and really enjoyed it. I don’t want to say to much because otherwise there would be no point in a December wrap up lol but, it was a really great Christmassy book!

The sun witch by Linda Winstead Jones

I have also read this one too. Another fun one, some parts annoyed me but, overall an entertaining read. I own the rest of the trilogy in paperback so, will probably be continuing at some point.

The Christmas swap by Sandy Barker

Last but not least, the Christmas swap. Which, I have also read when by the time I am writing this. It was a lighthearted fun romance, for the most part I enjoyed it and it was only 99p.

So, that is all the books that I bought/received in the month of December. Have you read any of these? Have any of you read the books my mother bought? Let me know in the comments below!

Thank you so much for reading!
